Time to resole
When is it time
to resole your
climbing shoes?
Probably you are wondering when it’s time to resole your shoes. When you resole your shoes at the right time, it is better for your climbing shoes, and ensures you can resole your shoes multiple times. Read below to find out when it is time to resole your shoes.
THIS IS THE MOMENT TO RESOLE YOUR SHOES
We recommend to resole your shoes before the fabric is showing. When the fabric start to show through the rubber, it is the last moment to start resoling. Preferably, you resole your shoes just before this moment when you feel the nose is getting very thin. You can check your shoes at the toe/nose part. If the rubber is reducing and feels softer when you press, then your shoes need a resole. If the toe/nose part still feels nice and hard, but the sole is worn out, then it is also time for a resole. This way your shoes will have a longer lifespan.
TOO LATE TO RESOLE YOUR SHOES
When a hole is visible through the nose, you are too late to resole the shoes. With a small hole of maximum 2mm, you can still have your shoes resoled, but the quality after the resole is not anymore like your new shoes were. Hand in your shoes in the REcycle box, so we can recycle your shoes!
